Former POTUS Donald Trump won the New Hampshire presidential primary; having over 163,000 votes (54.6%) and gaining 11 delegates. Meanwhile, Nikki Haley is in second place; with over 129,000 votes (43.1%) and gaining eight delegates.

Since Trump also won the recent Iowa caucuses, many voters and political analysts are expecting a major rematch between the former American leader and U.S. President Joe Biden.

But, despite the huge lead, Nikky Haley is still quite optimistic as she decided to remain as the main GOP presidential opponent of Donald Trump.

Because of this, Trump mocked the former UN ambassador as part of his New Hampshire victory speech. Here's what the ex-POTUS said about Haley.

Donald Trump celebrated his New Hampshire presidential primary victory by ridiculing Nikki Haley, complaining that she hasn't dropped out despite his grip growing stronger, as reported by the Independent UK.

Nikki Haley congratulated the former president for winning. However, she clarified that she doesn't have any plans on backing out from the presidential race. But, Donald Trump wasn't having it.

"I said, wow, she's doing a speech like she won. She didn't win. She lost," he said via Politico.

"Let's not have somebody take a victory when she had a very bad night. She had a very bad night," added Donald Trump.

The ex-POTUS and his campaign team have been urging Nikki Haley to drop out of the race, especially since other 2024 presidential rivals already resigned.

These include Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, as well as U.S. Sen. Tim Scott and Vivek Ramaswamy.

In mid-December 2023, Nikki Haley tried to capitalize on her momentum in New Hampshire after promising a more palatable version of the rightwing fire and brimstone that has come to characterize the Republican party.

Unfortunately, her efforts didn't pay off after a disappointing performance in the New Hampshire presidential primary. Despite this, she still remains optimistic.

The next presidential nomination contest is the Nevada caucus, in which Haley is not registered on the ballot. But, she still has a chance in the upcoming South Carolina primary.

"New Hampshire is first in the nation. It is not the last in the nation," said Nikki Haley.

"This race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go, and the next one is my sweet state of South Carolina," she added.
