An 'Amazon Fresh' logo is pictured above the entrance to Amazon's new Amazon Fresh store in Ealing, west London, on March 4, 2021. - Amazon on Thursday opened the first of its Amazon Fresh grocery stores in Europe, where customers will be able to buy goods without the need to queue at a checkout.

The changes that Amazon announced to its grocery delivery service are expected to make it more competitive with Walmart, DoorDash, Shipt (owned by Target), Instacart, and other rivals.

The best thing about the Amazon Fresh delivery expansion is that non-Amazon Prime members across all the U.S. cities can take advantage of it.

More Non-Amazon Prime Members Can Now Order Fresh Grocery Deliveries

According to The Verge's latest report, non-Amazon Prime members can start ordering grocery deliveries from the retailer's Fresh stores in all U.S. states and towns.

Amazon first opened its Amazon Fresh delivery service to non-Prime members back in August. At first, stores in only a dozen major cities were included, such as those in San Francisco, Boston, and Dallas.

Now, Amazon confirmed that its Fresh stores located in all U.S. cities are now offering grocery deliveries to non-Amazon Prime members.

"This service expansion, previously available only to Prime members, makes it easier for all customers to get their grocery needs met both in-store and online," said Amazon via its official press release

"This is all part of Amazon's journey to build a best-in-class grocery shopping experience offering incredible selection, value, and convenience," added the e-commerce giant.

Customers shop for goods inside Amazon's new Amazon Fresh store in Ealing, west London, on March 4, 2021. - Amazon on Thursday opened the first of its Amazon Fresh grocery stores in Europe, where customers will be able to buy goods without the need to queue at a checkout. Customers will scan a QR code on their way into the store.

Although Amazon said that all its Fresh stores across the United States now allow non-Prime members to have their groceries delivered, this doesn't mean that the service is available across the country.

This is because Amazon has a limited number of Fresh stores in the U.S. As of press time, these physical stores are only in New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Washington, Virginia, Maryland, New York, California, and Pennsylvania.

However, to ensure that more non-Amazon Prime members can take advantage of its delivery service, the retailer confirmed that its Whole Foods stores will soon be included in this expansion.
