TikTok's Creator Fund will soon be suspended, as announced by the social media giant on Monday, Nov. 6.

ByteDance rolled out the Creator Fund (a $1 billion allotment) in 2021 to pay its content creators. The socmed firm said that this program allows TikTokers to have the opportunity to earn money.

However, the Creator Fund will soon be replaced by a new program. The question is, should TikTokers worry about it? Here are the latest details.

Despite a potential US ban over national security concerns, data shows the Chinese-owned app's rapid growth.

According to CBS News the Creator Fund will be replaced by the upcoming Creativity Program. ByteDance explained that this new initiative is developed based on the learnings and feedback that its Creator Fund received from TikTokers.

"The Creativity Program will fully replace the Creator Fund in the US, UK, France, and Germany. All creators currently enrolled in the Creator Fund can upgrade to the Creativity Program," said TikTok via its official Newsroom announcement

TikTok said that the Creator Fund will be fully replaced by the Creativity Program starting on Dec. 16. When it comes to the specific benefits, ByteDance claimed that the new Creativity Program will allow TikTokers to earn 20 times than they do on the Creator Fund.

TikTokers who are 18 years old and older, with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views are all eligible for the new initiative.

The social media giant promised that despite having a new program for TikTokers, it will still listen to the content creators to develop new ways to better reward them for their contributions.

The arrival of the Creativity Program is actually a good thing for online influencers since many of them were not satisfied with the Creator Fund.

Green, a popular TikToker with 8 million followers and over 599 million likes said that he only makes 2.5 cents per 1,000 views.

The influencer said that the Creator Fund "sucks" because he was making very little earnings despite generating hundreds of thousands of views and likes.

The content creator also considered the TikTok Creator Fund a "static pool" since the money earned by online influencers doesn't improve at all.
