Justin Bieber Hoax: Atlanta Radio Station Reveals Protest Against Pop Star's Move Was Completely Fake

The petition protesting Justin Bieber's move to an Atlanta neighborhood has been exposed as a prank put on a by a local radio show.

Atlanta rock station 100.5's "The Regular Guys" admitted to staging the faux protest this week, according to the New York Daily News.

Prank show hosts Tim Andrews, Larry Wachs and "Southside" Steve Rickman fessed up to orchestrating an entire petition against Justin Bieber's alleged plans to move into the Buckhead region of Atlanta, Ga.

The radio station created a Facebook event urging residents of the area to protest the 19-year-old "Confident" singer's move into the neighborhood.

"As a community here in Buckhead, we have worked hard to achieve our goals and get to where we are," the description on the event page read. "Justin Bieber's relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children, as well as the community. Some can't even let their children play in the driveway without fear; he has raced vehicles under the influence, before. What's to say he won't do it again?"

More than 600 people joined the event online, but just a handful of folks appeared on the corner of Roswell and Blackland on Monday wielding signs that read "Keep Buckhead Bieber Free."

All of the people who showed up to the "demonstration" were in on the joke.

A man who said he was named Hank Maguire was actually a Rock 100.5 "Regular Guys" intern, NBC Atlanta reported. He told various news outlets that he was a representative for the "coalition."

It seemed even the pop star himself was under the impression that the demonstration was real.

"I guess I'm an easy target for some," Bieber wrote on Twitter shortly after news of the faux protest surfaced. "I'm still human. I will continue to meet hate with love. It's all about the music. Much love."
