This photo illustration shows the X logo (formerly Twitter) on a smartphone screen in Los Angeles, California, on July 31, 2023. San Francisco sent the company formerly known as Twitter a warning on July 31, 2023, that it needed proper permits for the giant, flashing new X sign atop its headquarters, after the tech firm twice refused to let building inspectors check it.

In the comment section, many X users appreciated the initiative of Elon Musk.

One of them said that he was fired because he follows Andrew Tate (@Cobratate) on the social media platform.

However, the man added that he had no regrets. Another X user said that Elon Musk's effort is what defending freedom of speech looks like.

Other users said that the billionaire is doing more for the United States and other countries compared to governments.

Meanwhile, some individuals continued sharing their negative experiences while using the online platform.

One of them shared that she was removed from her work after publicly opposing vaccine mandates.

"After speaking publicly against vaccine mandates, my hospital leadership texted me to 'pipe down on social media,'" she said.

These are just some of the things that X users shared about Elon Musk's latest effort for them.
