Daniel Radcliffe, popularly known for his Harry Potter lead role, has welcomed his first child with his long-time partner Erin Darke. The agent of the actor confirmed the news on Monday, Apr. 24.
So it is now official, Radcliffe, the lead star of the massive Potter franchise based on the books of JK Rowling, is now a dad. The couple are first-time parents.

'Harry Potter' Star Daniel Radcliffe Welcomes His First Child
According to BBC, the news broke when Daily Mail published photos of the former child actor, Radcliffe, pushing a baby stroller in the streets of New York. However, a blanket covered their firstborn from head to toe.
After the photograph was published, the official announcement came. The publicist of Radcliffe confirmed on Monday that the couple welcomed their first baby. The couple have yet to speak about it. For now, the sex of the baby has not yet been determined.
In March, the Harry Potter star and his partner Darke disclosed that they were both expecting to be first-time parents. But they have kept mum about it since then. Well, the two have been consistently low-profile these days.
USA Today reports that Radcliffe prefers life away from the spotlight. He previously said that he was to protect his future child from the life of the rich and famous. The former child star says, "it's really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs."
Despite that, he still wants his children to work in the film industry, following in his footsteps. But rather than facing the cameras, he aspires for them to work behind the scenes.
And as such, it looks like the Harry Potter actor wants to be lowkey nowadays.

The long-time couple Darke and Radcliffe have been together for nearly a decade. As per WFTV 9, the two got acquainted in 2013 amid shooting their drama and romance film, "Kill Your Darlings."
The Harry Potter star told Playboy Magazine in an interview last October 2015 that the 2013 film is "a wonderful record of us flirting for the first time." He also said he did not have to act in their romance scenes.
BBC notes that Darke is popularly recognized for starring in "Good Girl Revolt," a 2015 Amazon Prime Original. In more recent times, she is known for her role in "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," which also aired on the streaming service of the giant retailer.
