Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will formally contest President Biden in the Democratic presidential primary later this month.

On April 19, environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the son of the late senator, attorney general, presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy, and the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy will kick off his presidential campaign in Boston.

On Wednesday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. presidential campaign officials submitted the required documents to the Federal Election Commission, Fox News reported.

Kennedy ignited rumors of a prospective White House bid early last month by traveling to New Hampshire, which has hosted the first presidential nominating primary in a century.

Each major party has a presidential nomination process known as a "primary." The Democrats and the Republicans each have their own. Kennedy is going to be the Democratic Party's outsider candidate.

While he has not publicly launched his campaign, President Joe Biden has hinted he would run for re-election, per the BBC. Aides think he will start his campaign for the 2024 presidential elections later than planned.

Robert F. Kennedy Vows To Fight Corruption

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has come under fire from other Democrats for campaigning against the COVID-19 vaccination. In 2021, Kennedy's Instagram account was suspended for distributing false vaccine information.

Kennedy stated in his recent book that Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, President Joe Biden's senior medical counsel for the COVID-19 crisis, and Bill Gates, Microsoft's co-founder, colluded with pharmaceutical corporations to profit from vaccinations, according to The New York Times.

On Twitter, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated his intention to "stop the corrupt convergence of state and corporate power" if he were to run in the 2024 presidential elections.

Although many Democrats are concerned that Joe Biden, who would be 81 during the 2024 presidential elections, won't be a viable opponent, no significant party personalities are now actively considering a primary challenge.

The sole well-known opponent who has officially entered the 2024 presidential elections race is author Marianne Williamson, who previously ran for office in 2020.
