Tan has a team of 20 employees currently, according to The Straits Times. They use photos their customers send to create life-like replicas of dead pets. Tan and the team use synthetic fur airbrushed to recreate the markings and colors of the animals.

Not the Same as Taxidermy

The process of making stuffed toys is different from taxidermy. Taxidermy involves the preservation of the animal's body. What Tan and his team do is create a one hundred percent stuffed toy that looks exactly like your pet. Each stuffed toy costs around $85.

The brand is under Tancorp Manufacturing Inc., based in Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, Philippines. Initially, the factor was only making garments and apparel.

How It Works

To have a stuffed toy created to replicate your departed pet, customers will need to send design information and requirements, such as the breed of the animal, photos, drawings, and measurements that can be sent via their website or Facebook page.

Once Tan's team has everything they need, they will create a sample item and send a quotation before they make the actual, customized stuffed toy.

The 20 employees under his team started making the pattern by hand based on the photos the customer provided them. The pattern will be used as a guide in cutting the fabric. Then, the pieces of fabric will be sewn together before framing and stuffing. Airbrush will be done to make the stuffed toy more realistic, and the final touches will be applied.

Tan's team can finish one clone in a day or two. Currently, they produce over a hundred clones a month, which takes three to four weeks after placing an order before a customer receives their finished item. They also ship internationally.

Besides cat and dog breeds, the company has produced other animal clones, such as rabbits. They are also willing to accept almost any animal depending on their customers' requests.

Stuffed animal clones are replicas of beloved stuffed animals created by professional toy makers. These replicas are made using high-quality materials and are designed to be nearly identical to the original stuffed animal.

Stuffed animal clones are often created for sentimental reasons, such as to replace a lost or damaged stuffed animal with a special meaning to its owner.

They can also duplicate a favorite stuffed animal to give as a gift.

Professional toy makers use advanced techniques to create stuffed animal clones nearly indistinguishable from the original. This can include matching the color, texture, and stitching of the original stuffed animal. Stuffed animal clones are a unique and special way to preserve a cherished childhood memory or to create a special gift for someone special.
