The official invitations for Camilla Parker Bowles' coronation have been released alongside confirmation that she will be crowned queen during next month's event.

On April 4, Buckingham Palace released the first image of the invitations, printed on recycled paper with an ornamental border. They invite guests to the "coronation of their majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla."

'Queen' Camilla Used for Coronation Invites

The usage of the royal title was the first time the Palace did not refer to Camilla as the Queen Consort. In the early months of His Majesty's reign, it made sense to refer to Her Majesty as the Queen Consort to separate her from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a palace source explained.

Prince George will be one of the four Pages of Honour assisting Charles and Camilla on the coronation day. Buckingham Palace revealed that George, the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales and second-in-line to the throne, will join three other pages for the King.

The invitation stated, "The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla." This was the first indication that the King's long-cherished ambition of having his wife proclaimed Queen beside him would finally be realized, as per The Independent.

Buckingham Palace is believed to update its website next month to reflect the change. In December, the Daily Mail was the first to report that the Palace planned to "organically' drop the title Consort from Camilla's title this year.

The Mail on Sunday verified this in February when it claimed she would be referred to as Queen following her coronation. The seemingly unimaginable change reveals Camilla's extraordinary metamorphosis in the nation's affection.

Camilla "planned" to be called Princess Consort upon her husband's accession to the throne when she married the then-Prince of Wales in a civil wedding in 2005, which Queen Elizabeth declined to attend.

The inclusion of the term "intended" was meant to offer royal aides wiggle space, but at the time, many still blamed her for the dissolution of Charles's marriage to Diana, Princess of Wales.

Since then, however, Camilla has won many with her kindness, humor, lack of grumbling, work advocating for domestic abuse victims, and literacy. Last night, a royal source stated, "His Majesty has always seen it as a matter of honor. Since he is King, his wife should be Queen."

King Charles' Coronation

Tomorrow will mark one month before the Coronation, but invitations to the historical event, which will be the first of its sort in seventy years, will not be given out until two weeks beforehand. These are destined to become collector's goods since they feature an elegantly crafted border of flora and animals surrounding a Green Man, an ancient traditional symbol of spring and rebirth, to signify the new rule.

The Earl Marshal, now held by Edward William Fitzalan-Howard, 18th Duke of Norfolk, coordinates the event. As the coronation approaches, further details have emerged, with Buckingham Palace stating that Prince George, age nine, would play a key part as one of the eight Pages of Honour.

Meanwhile, the White House reportedly sends First Lady Jill Biden instead of her husband, President Joe Biden, to attend the event. According to Metro, no American president has ever attended a British monarch's coronation; therefore, his absence is consistent with historical precedence.

According to a source, there may still be attempts to get Biden to attend the coronation. The most important uncertainty is the presence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex.

It is reported that the couple has already received the lavish invitation, but they have yet to confirm whether or not they will attend. One such scenario involves Prince Harry attending the event while his wife remains in California to care for their three children.
