According to reports, LeBron James is "severely battling" a foot problem and may be sidelined for a number of games.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is once again set to make another NBA history the next time he plays on the hard court.

On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers are in San Francisco to battle with the Golden State Warriors. However, it is reported that LeBron James is not playing for the second consecutive game, per YardBarker.

Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes reports that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is "severely battling" with a foot issue.

The team's general manager, Rob Pelinka, told reporters that the imaging done as requested by LeBron James "came back clean and good." However, still LeBron James is not playing in the game against the Golden State Warriors, according to Bleacher Report.

LeBron James shattered Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's NBA scoring record in the previous game, but he was forced to miss the next game due to a foot ailment.

The superstar forward had been listed as injured with an ankle issue in the past.

On Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James played in his most recent game and moved above Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the NBA's all-time scoring record.

To overtake Abdul-Jabbar's 40-year record, LeBron James needed 36 points, and he ended the game with 38.

LeBron James Set To Overtake Jason Terry's Record

LeBron James is presently tied for ninth place on the all-time games played list with Jason Terry, and he is on the brink of moving up yet another all-time list (1,410 regular season games).

Thus, on the next occasion that LeBron James competes, he will overtake Terry and assume sole control of the 10th place.

Robert Parish has played in more games than anybody else in NBA history (1,611). LeBron James is now 201 games behind the record.

With a 25-31 record after 56 games, the Lakers were the Western Conference's No. 13 seed heading into their clash with the Warriors.

Is LeBron James Guilty of Load Management?

This season, James has started 44 games for the Lakers and has been a major factor in every victory. The four-time NBA champion is putting up incredible numbers this season, averaging 30.2, 8.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game on 50.8% shooting from the field and 31.5% from deep.

LeBron James, 38, has continued to compete at a high level despite his foot issue.

In January, LeBron James was ruled out of the game against the New York Knicks early on. Even though many speculate that LeBron James is doing load management, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham noted that James' left foot is suffering from "increased soreness," per Fan Nation.

The NBA's all-time top scorer has recently missed two games with a foot ailment, and it is unclear what he should do to recover.

The Lakers might struggle offensively. Most likely Anthony Davis, who recently recovered from an injury, would take over as the team's primary option. Troy Brown Jr. may also get more playing time while the club is short-handed if LeBron James is not playing.

The Los Angeles Lakers sent Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz in exchange for guard D'Angelo Russell from the Minnesota Timberwolves before the NBA Trade Deadline, per a previous HNGN report.

The Lakers have strengthened their roster around LeBron James by acquiring guard Malik Beasley and big Jarred Vanderbilt from the Jazz.

If the Lakers want to make it to the Western play-in tournament, they need to make a push quickly.
