Blinken Encouraged To Visit Beijing

The invitation was sent to the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken with plans to coincide with the planned visit's details, remarked the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin in a Tuesday statement, per Global Times.

Chinese leaders are concerned over the state of bilateral ties that should be squared out with Washington. These changes are needed to start correcting a global recovery which is needed. These remarks came about after the US-based media reported that Blinker is scheduled to visit Beijing in February to meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang.

Wang explained that the relationship with Washington is based on three precepts crucial to a satisfactory interaction. They are mutual respect, coexisting in peace, not a contest, and a mutually beneficial collaboration for both.

Beijing hopes that the White House adopts the right attitude to avoid a losing confrontational contest to gain beneficial returns, not concentrate on useless competitions.

Wang stressed that hope for the normalization of the two leaders could reset the already raucous path set by recent events. Liu and Yellen agreed that China and the US need to improve bilateral ties.
