Nick Carter Shares Heartbreaking Tribute After Aaron Carter’s Shocking Death

Nick Carter, a singer of the Backstreet Boys, has commented on the passing of his younger brother, singer Aaron Carter, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 34.

After discovering that his brother Aaron had been discovered dead in a bathtub at his California home the following day, Nick Carter broke down in tears while performing at London's O2 on Sunday night.

Less than 24 hours after learning the devastating news, the 42-year-old singer joined his band, the Backstreet Boys, on stage for a performance as part of their DNA World Tour. He started singing his line on their song 'Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely' but couldn't finish it because of emotion.

Nick Carter Breaks Silence After Brother Aaron Carter's Death

Before they paid respect to Aaron, Nick Carter was spotted with tears in his eyes as his bandmates hugged and supported him on stage. Per Daily Mail, the Backstreet Boys opening act earlier in the day announced that the concert will still take place.

Even though their relationship was difficult, Nick Carter posted many throwback images of the two of them together earlier that day and claimed that his heart had been shattered. He also added that his love for Aaron never faltered.

Nick Carter continued by saying that although it is "easy to blame someone or something for loss," he wrote that "addiction and mental illness is the real villain here." He added that he had "held onto hope" that his brother would "someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help he so desperately needed."

On Saturday, Aaron Carter, 34, was discovered dead in his bathtub at his residence in Lancaster, California. EMS units were dispatched at a household for a "female yelling," and there was a mention to "in the tub," according to a 911 recording. Neighbors said a lady, thought to be the house sitter, answered the door screaming "he's dead, he's dead."

Kevin Richardson, a bandmate, also spoke on Nick Carter's behalf because he was unable to talk due to emotion. As he thanked the gathering for their support and grief messages, Richardson mentioned the great loss they felt as a "family."

Nick Carter Emotionally Performed

As the band entered the stage for the performance as part of their DNA tour, fans were shocked to discover that Nick Carter was still joining the group. All day long, crowd members at the show speculated that Nick Carter may have taken a flight back to Los Angeles when the devastating news of Aaron's death surfaced.

Nick Carter mentioned obtaining a restraining order against Aaron the same year, according to NBC News, "because to his frightening conduct and words after he reportedly indicated he had thoughts of killing Nick Carter's wife." The accusations were vigorously refuted by Aaron. In the 1990s, Nick and Aaron Carter both achieved success.

While Aaron, who occasionally served as the Backstreet Boys' opening act, enjoyed a successful solo musical career, Nick Carter was well-known across the world as one of the group's founding members.

Aaron's self-titled first record was released in 1997, and after its release in 2000, Aaron's Party (Come and Get It), reached triple platinum, as per The Independent.
