Apple and Time Warner Cable in Talks For Upgraded Television Product? Tech Giant Reportedly Meeting With Partners for New Gadget

Apple Inc. has reportedly been meeting with Time Warner Cable in hopes of creating a new version of its television top-box.

The tech giant has allegedly been in conversation with other business partners concerning the new gadget, which will feature a new interface that could go public in April, according to unidentified sources who spoke with Bloomberg this week.

The California-based company, whose current television box Apple TV runs for $99, will most likely put the new gadget on shelves in time for the winter holidays, the anonymous source told Bloomberg.

If Apple does, indeed, merge with Time Warner Cable on a new Apple TV deal, it would be the first union of its kind.

Neither Apple nor Time Warner Cable offered comment on the matter when Reuters reporters approached company officials.

Rumors have been circling in the recent past concerning the possibility of Apple's venture into television.

Some say the Cupertino corporation will soon come out with a huge TV product that could create an upset in the cable business.

This fact, however, hasn't yet been confirmed by any officials familiar with the inner workings of Apple.
