Tonight is the much-anticipated noir-themed episode of "Pretty Little Liars". Get ready to see your favorite characters in all black and white in an hour filled with old school hair, old school outfits and, according to Hollywood Life, Spencer in an old-school interrogation room.
As many PLL fans know, Spencer has become addicted to pills. Usually when you get addicted to drugs, your mind goes nuts. Well, according to EOnline, this episode is a product of Spencer's mind.
According to an interview executive producer Joseph Dougherty did with TVGuide.com, the noir-themed episode is a very necessary means in Spencer's quest to uncover the truth.
"When we knew we were going to do this, one of the big issues we discussed was how free-standing can it be?" Dougherty said according to TVGuide.com. "We didn't want to do an episode and at the end of it you hadn't moved the story forward.
"So the idea was to actually take the experience Spencer was having as the thing that allowed her to put together the puzzle piece and that allowed her to go to the next step. So the black-and-white part of her brain allows her to figure out an essential clue."
EOnline reports we should get ready for the best of Alison De Laurentis. She's going to deliver her usual zingers and, judging from the preview below, we will be able to see her interact with all the Liars.
TVGuide.com was also provided with a sneak peek which shows Ezra in a conversation with - Toby.
The two men are enjoying a nice drink as Ezra points out he doesn't particularly like people. This brings Toby to ask the reason for their conversation. Ezra offers Toby some information. When Toby asks the cost of the information, Ezra says it's a gift. So what info does Mr. Fitz offer Spencer's boyfriend?
"Alison DiLaurentis is alive," says Fitz. "And Spencer Hastings knows how to find her."
"Alison DiLaurentis is dead," responds Toby.
Ezra retorts with the thought-provoking question, "Says who?" You can watch the full clip and read the interview here.
"Pretty Little Liars" airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC Family.
