Queen Elizabeth II is said to share confidential files with Prince Charles to start the transition before becoming king amid the monarch's repeated health concerns.

Queen Elizabeth II is alleged to have advised her eldest son, Prince Charles, to begin familiarizing himself with sensitive official files before becoming King.

The 95-year-old monarch, according to a royal expert, wants Charles to be educated on constitutional issues. According to Robert Jobson, the death of Prince Philip has shifted gears for Charles, triggering a "sea-change" in his status within the family.

Her Majesty Shares Confidential Files to Prince Charles

The Queen, who is known in Whitehall as Reader Number One, wants Prince Charles to be brought up to date on all classified state affairs so that the transfer is as easy as possible whenever she passes away.

He observed that the Prince of Wales will be the "most well-prepared monarch-in-waiting ever" because of his constant engagement in meetings with government officials throughout the years. Meanwhile, if the Prince of Wales becomes King, it is predicted that he will attempt to diminish the monarchy's size, as per Bol News.

Due to the queen's health concerns, Prince Charles is on standby to deliver the Queen's Speech during the State Opening of Parliament. According to rumors, palace and government officials are preparing contingency measures to accommodate her absence if health or mobility concerns prevent her from attending.

The announcement comes as the Queen has backed out of several important events in the previous six months owing to health concerns. If the Queen is unable to attend the State Opening of Parliament due to illness, Prince Charles will read the Queen's address.

If Her Majesty is forced to skip the annual celebration on May 10, aides have suggested Prince Charles fill in. On behalf of the Queen, he is taking on an expanding amount of responsibilities.

Queen Elizabeth's Health Keeps Her From Attending Events

Only two state openings were missed by Her Majesty which happened in 1959 and 1963 while she was pregnant with the future princes Andrew and Edward. The Queen, who is 95 years old, is expected to confirm her presence at activities on the day, with a family member on standby to take her place. It occurs at a time when she is having mobility and overall health concerns.

On Wednesday, the Queen was seen using her cane in the drawing-room of the palace as she saw memorabilia commemorating the business Halcyon Days' 70th anniversary. She intends to attend Prince Philip's memorial ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday; however, the buggy is unlikely to accompany her.

In October, Her Majesty spent a night in the hospital and was advised to rest. She was unable to attend a two-day visit to Northern Ireland later that month, as well as the COP26 climate change meeting on November 1. Due to a sore back, the Queen had to leave the Remembrance Sunday ceremony less than two hours earlier. She also skipped a Commonwealth Day service earlier this month as a precaution following her COVID-19 episode.

However, she is claimed to be averse to using a wheelchair after seeing photographs of her sister Princess Margaret in one. In the years leading up to her death at the age of 101, their mother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, was chauffeured around in a golf buggy by a liveried driver, The Sun reported.

The 95-year-old British queen ventured out this week for an official engagement at Windsor Castle, despite keeping a low profile following a series of health setbacks in recent months, including testing positive with COVID19. At Windsor Castle's White Drawing Room, Her Majesty viewed a collection of relics from Halcyon Days, commemorating the luxury brand's 70th anniversary.

The queen observed the hand-decorated vintage enamelware from the 1950s to the current day while wearing a white flower-printed dress, black shoes, and clutching a walking stick. Susan Shakespeare and Susan Jones, expert craftspeople, gave demonstrations of ancient methods of enamel decorating and gilding by hand.

While Queen Elizabeth has reduced her duties and public appearances in recent months, this is still a momentous year for her. As the longest-serving British queen, Elizabeth will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee in 2022, which will commemorate her 70th year on the throne. A magnificent black-and-white vintage shot from the early years of Her Majesty's reign graces the cover of British Vogue's April edition, as per Whas11.
