Four burglary suspects were arrested in Denver after they unknowingly tried to sell their stolen items to the victim of their theft, 7News reported.
The incident occurred on Friday night, shortly after Lacinda Robinson's home was burglarized.
"I walked into the house and felt a cold breeze, and I looked into the kitchen and the kitchen window was broken," the 24-year-old mother told 7News.
After calling police about the incident, she didn't feel safe at her home and walked over to the McDonald's parking lot to wait until officers arrived.
"I pulled into the McDonald's parking lot and two guys approached my car and asked me if I wanted to buy a PS3, and I'm like, 'Oh no, you know, I'm fine,'" Robinson said.
After the first man tried to sell her items, she saw a second person wearing something that looked familiar.
"I see another guy walking out trying to approach my car and he's wearing the jacket that I believe belonged to me," Robinson said, referring to a unique Washington Redskins jacket she owned.
Instead of confronting the two men about the items, she walked over to two off-duty officers at a nearby gas station and told them what she believed was going on.
After investigating, Officers Matthew Reierson and Brian Husum arrested the men and retrieved Robinson's PS3 and jacket. However, she is still missing an iPad, flat-screen TV, and some cash.
While Robinson is happy she was able to solve the crime, the incident still frightens her and her family.
"It's a scary feeling, scary for my kids as well. We have not been sleeping here," she said.
