Naughty Dog's popular "Uncharted" series has reportedly found their film director. Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking to translate their gaming success with "Uncharted" into a blockbuster hit in theaters worldwide.

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures Entertainment is in negotiations with Seth Gordon to direct the "Uncharted" movie. Gordon is the mastermind behind films like "Horrible Bosses" and "King Kong".

"The most recent script of Uncharted is by Safe House scribe David Guggenheim, and the studio was hot enough on that draft that they set him to write Bad Boys 3," Deadline reports. "The project has had several prominent filmmakers involved over the years, most recently David O Russell, before he left to helm the Roven-produced American Hustle, a Best Picture Oscar contender."

The film also doesn't have an actor slated to take on the lead role of Nathan Drake, an Indiana Jones-like treasure hunter who finds himself in some compromising situations with his fellow explorers.

Sony has not confirmed a release date for the "Uncharted" movie.

Another video game headed for a film translation is Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed". The "Assassin's Creed" movie seems to be a little further along than the "Uncharted" film, as Michael Fassbender has been confirmed to star in the flick. However, the "Assassin's Creed" movie doesn't have a confirmed director or script.

According to The Latino Review, director Daniel Espinosa was rumored to be in talks with the "Assassin's Creed" production to take on the film.

"If you haven't seen Safe House, chances are you haven't seen anything Swede Daniel Espinosa has directed," The Latino Review reports. "Mostly because those movies are not in English. If you saw Easy Money, you probably remember it more as the first time Joel Kinnaman (soon to be the new Robocop) made a name for himself."

The official "Assassin's Creed" movie is scheduled to be released to theaters on June 19, 2015. However, the film is in jeopardy of being delayed if they don't get a director on board and complete the script soon.
