Real Housewives Star Ramona Singer Files For Divorce From Husband Mario Singer Amid Cheating Rumors

"Real Housewives of New York City" star Ramona Singer has filed for divorce from her husband, Mario Singer.

According to a report by the New York Daily News, Ramona Singer submitted the official papers Tuesday, in Manhattan's Supreme Court.

"Real Housewives" veteran Jill Zarin told People Magazine that the couple has, indeed, made moves to party ways.

"Ramona has been protecting him," Zarin told People. "She looked the other way when people told her he was cheating."

Ramona and Mario have reportedly been married for 22 years, and have a daughter, 19-year-old Avery, together.

Ramona and Mario have been struggling with rumors of infidelity, after the 57-year-old reality star reportedly caught Mario at their home in the Hamptons having sexual relations with Kasey Dexter, 27. Some said that Mario and Kasey have been involved for almost a year.

"She saw him there with the girlfriend and made a big scene and called the police," an unidentified source told People.

Ramona Singer released a statement this week asking for people to give her space during the trying time.

"This is a personal and private matter for our family," she told People. "For my daughter Avery's sake, I would appreciate our privacy during this difficult time."

Before announcing the divorce on Monday, Ramona and Mario appeared to be on amicable terms, attending events on New Year's Eve with one another.

But according to the unidentified source, trouble was brewing at home.

"Everyone knew he had this girlfriend," the source said.
