R&B superstar Rihanna is at it again. She will be designing a second collection for the British clothing company River Island. She made the announcement on Monday via Instagram and gave her fans a sneak peak of what to expect. "Me and my better half @adamselman in design mode!!" Rihanna wrote on her Instagram. "We went to #WERK on the upcoming #RihannaForRIVERISLAND Autumn and Winter collections! No really, we took it there!"
Despite mixed reviews of her first collection with the British company, Rihanna Navy fans are excited for the upcoming line. The photo already has over 218 thousand 'likes' with fans clearly expressing joy and excitement over the news.
Her first collection for River Island made its debut at London Fashion Week in February and was released on March 5. The collection was very Rih Rih-like with high-slit skirts, colorful crop tops, skintight pants and short dresses. There was no denying the singer designed the collection after what she would typically wear.
According to Billboard.com some people felt the collection "was a creative, sexy and influential debut into the fashion world, others ripped the designs apart, calling it 'hideous' and borderline trashy, if not straight up pornographic."
MTV Style's Chrissy Mahlmeister, however didn't mind the collection writing on MTV Style blog "we're totally on-board with her comfy girly-yet-grunge pieces."
Rihanna will be working with designer Adam Selman again for the second collection which is said to be released in the fall.
