NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA - MAY 01: The cast of Glee attends The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' screening of Fox's "Glee" at Leonard Goldenson Theatre on May 1, 2012 in North Hollywood, California.

With Naya Rivera's death still fresh on the minds of Gleeks all over the world. Several theories about the existence of a 'Glee Curse' circulated the internet. This is because Naya has become the third star of the hit musical TV drama to bring her music with her to the great beyond.

Despite no scientific evidence or anything at all to prove the initial assumptions, it seems that conspiracy theorists have yet another theory concerning the death of Glee stars, Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Naya Rivera. Did the songs they sang in Glee indeed foreshadow their deaths?

"sink me in a river"

In the Glee episode, which was a tribute for the death of Cory Monteith entitled "The Quarterback," the New Directions offered songs in honor of his character Finn, who was also killed off the show.

During the said episode, Naya Rivera's character Santana Lopez sang the song "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry. Right after news of Naya's disappearance in Lake Piru, videos of her performance singing the song which had the lyrics "sink me in the river at dawn," trended in social media.

On July 15, CNN reported that Naya's death was ruled as an accidental drowning by the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.

"he hung himself"

On January 30, 2018, Mark Salling who played Noah "Puck" Puckerman was found dead in Los Angeles, his death was ruled as a suicide after autopsy reports found that he died of asphyxia by hanging, USA Today reported in 2018.

Mark's death further supports theories the stars have predicted their deaths in the songs they have sung because in the 21st episode of Glee's first season, Puck rapped in words "he hung himself with a guitar string," while singing the song Loser.

Two months before he died, Mark was supposed to begin serving his sentence after he pleaded guilty of owning child pornography.

"drug-free, so put up the crack"

The song lyrics that Finn Hudson sang which allegedly warned about his demise is a little bit ironic. In the episode entitled "Funk," the New Directions sang the song Good Vibrations. In the song, it can be recalled that Finn, Cory's character sang the words, "drug-free, so put up the crack." In 2013, he died of drug overdose.

Aside from the song, another thing instance in Glee that allegedly foreshadowed the death of Cory was on Season 3 Episode 10 when Finn was conflicted about signing up for the army. In the episode, Finn's mother revealed that his father whom he thought was a war hero died of a drug overdose and she was afraid that the same thing would happen to him, Mirror reported.
