According to research, drinking beer can be of help for one’s health and protect against insomnia, dementia, obesity, and increase life expectancy.

Scientists have proclaimed beer to be very good for people and taking one a day can help you live longer.

Research says that ingredients in beer can be healthy and shield you against severe health conditions.

It’s the health-boosting probiotics in beer which can help lengthen one’s life.

Based on scientific study, certain beers which contain these health-boosting probiotics help increase life expectancy and protect against insomnia, dementia, and obesity.

In Amsterdam University, gut bacteria experts have identified strong Belgian beers including Hoegaarden as a potent source of the probiotic yeast.

Hoegaarden and similar beers, which include Westmalle Trippel, have been fermented twice in the brewery and again in their bottles. The overall strength of the beer is increased through this process.

In bottle fermentation, a different strain of yeast is used compared with the one used in the traditional pulled pints. The presence of this strain of yeast prove key.

The main reason is that it does not only convert sugar into alcohol but also catalyzes acids which are capable of killing of potentially harmful bacteria.

In Maastricht University in Holland, a research proved that both men and women who drink moderately daily are more likely to reach the age of 90.

The drinking habits of over 5,500 people over the course of two decades have been studied by scientists as part of their research.

The research come up to the conclusion that men who drink half a pint of beer everyday were 81 percent more likely to live into their tenth decade.

In fact, based on the researchers, even if two pints a day were drank, they were still increasing their chances of living longer.

It was emphasized that certain type of beer with the appropriate probiotics must be consumed and drinking in moderation was key to the findings.

Studies have proven that the presence of a certain strain of yeast which proves key as it does not only convert sugar into alcohol but also produce acids which are capable of killing potentially harmful bacteria.

Prof. Eric Claassen, a researcher in the study, said that you are getting a stronger beer that is very, very healthy, and that they do not want to give people a license to drink more beer. And he added that alcohol in high concentrations is bad for the gut but consuming one of those beers every day will be very good for the health.

The NHS said that on a regular basis men and women are advised not to drink more than 14 units in a week.
