Kate Gosselin and twin daughter Mady and Cara appeared on television again after the "TODAY" show fiasco, this time on "The View" to talk about their family dynamic.

The 13-year-olds' second go at a sit-down interview wasn't as strangely awkward as their "TODAY" appearance (video below), but the Gosselin girls continued to remain silent about their relationship with father Jon Gosselin.

Towards the end of the interview, Barbara Walters asked if the girls continued to speak to their father, Mady shrugged her shoulders as she looked to her mother. Cara turned red and also did not say a word to "The View" hosts.

However, when it came to choosing between Justin Bieber and One Direction, the girls weren't afraid to speak their minds.

"If I'm going to be 100 percent honest, I don't like Justin Bieber," Mady said on the morning show.

Mady is apparently a Directioner with a crush on band member Niall Horn. Cara isn't a fan of either, stating she's more into Demi Lovato's music. The host eventually turned the questions back to the girls' family matters, asking Cara and Mady how they handled the divorce about four years ago.

"Honestly, it wasn't hard for us," Mady told "The View".

"I think it was harder for you, definitely" Mady explained as she looked at Kate. "It didn't really affect me and we still saw both parents...we were little, we were like 8 or 9. We knew what was going on, but we didn't see [what was happening]."

Kate added: "I kept them sheltered and yeah, it's necessary and it drew the nine of us closer. There's really nothing off limits we don't talk about. Clearly there's hard times and strange discussions, and probably not preferable things, but we're very open and the girls hang out in my room with me every night."
