According to ABC News, Rebecca Ford of The Hollywood reporter has said that "The Fate of the Furious" was perfection while Aaron Couch has stated that the movie is exactly what one buys one's ticket for.

Among others, Keith Simanton of IMDb has praised director F. Gary Gray and said that he is up to the task. Peter Sciretta from Slashfilm has written that "The Fate of the Furious" takes the ridiculousness to a completely new level but it feels very different.

Dwayne Johnson has been specially mentioned by Steven Weintraub of Collider and he has called the actor-wrestler a straight up superhero. "The Fate of the Furious" sees him deadlifting concrete and coaching a soccer team of girls. Well, given the glowing praises, it does seem like the eighth installment would receive a warm welcome at the box office as well.
