"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," the standalone movie in the popular sci-fi franchise was a big hit on the box-office and now it will be out in comic book form in April. The six-issue comic book will have unused material from the movie and thus, will expand on it.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is all set to get its comic book version. According to FanSided, the comic book adaptation has been written by Jody Houser and illustrated by Emilio Laiso and Oscar Bazaldua. Phil Noto has done the cover art. Marvel will be publishing the book in a month. Notably, comic adaptation is something that has been a practice with the company. It had adapted the original "Star Wars" in comic book form in 1977.

Now that "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is being adapted, fans will be delighted to know that it will implement unused story ideas from the movie. In an interview, Jody Houser had revealed that the comic book would expand not just on the movie but also the novel, Entertainment Weekly claimed. She had said that there were a bunch of ideas for extra scenes and characters which could not find a place in the film.

According to Houser, she was having fun playing around with those ideas and she was excited to have new material in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" comic book adaptation. For her, the most intriguing part of the adaptation was the weak and gray-toned Rebel Alliance. It was messy and a very relatable struggle where making the right choices and deciding on the best course of action are not easy.

It is worth mentioning here that "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" was set just before the events of "A New Hope" and told the story of a group of rebels who are on a mission to steal the plans for Death Star. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" comic book goes on sale from April 5.
