Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg will make a new movie and the story will revolve on the Pentagon Papers leak. This will also be the first time Tom and Meryl will share the big screen and will make a movie together.

Apart from a dream team in Hollywood, this will also be the first time that Meryl Streep will do a live-action film directed by Steven Spielberg. But she already had a cameo role before when she did the voice of Blue Fairy in the movie, "Artificial Intelligence."

But for Tom Hanks, he already worked with Spielberg on some movies which include "Catch Me If You Can," "The Terminal," "Bridge of Spies," "Saving Private Ryan," and "Band of Brothers." This big project was likewise reported on Huffington Post and people are already thrilled to see some of Hollywood's bigwigs in one movie.

The said film will be titled, "The Post" and it is based on a spec script by Liz Hannah. This movie tells the story of Washington Post's early 1970s efforts to uncover the Pentagon Papers. It can be recalled that this issue unmasked the United States government alleged deception about the extent of the Vietnam War.

Meryl Streep is said to be playing the role of Kay Graham, a WaPo puvlisher and Tom Hanks has signed to play the character of Ben Bradlee as the editor. Bradlee and Graham fought the Nixon government over their right and in order to publish the vital information from the said documents.

Some people argued that the timeliness of the film is just right since Streep and Hanks have been very vocal about the media rights in the course of President Donald Trump's attacks on the media and the press.

"We need the principled press to hold power to account, to call them on the carpet for every outrage," Streep shared while she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award at January's Golden Globes.

Meanwhile, Tom Hanks donated an espresso machine to the press corps of White House during the time of George W. Bush then he gave another one during the time of Barack Obama.

Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks are both responsible citizens of America apart from being protectors of rights of the media and the people. Sol with their film with Steven Spielberg, this is sure to give an awakening call to the people.
