Kayne West met US President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday after the rapper was spotted arriving at the Trump Tower. He comes back in limelight following his hospitalization.

Trump meanwhile spoke to the reporters with West at his side, calling him a good man and stating that they have been 'good friends' for a long time.

West ignored the questions regarding the purpose of the meeting and many suggested he's thinking of performing at Trump's inauguration, but he later tweeted saying he talked to Trump about stopping the violence in his native city of Chicago.

Trump told him to take care and he'll see him soon. Sources reveal that concern in Chicago is West's main agenda right now.

Finding a way to change the Chicago situation is thick in rapper's mind and he hopes he'll be able to keep the issue fresh in the mind of the Trump administration and try to make Chicago a safe city again.

The actual reason for this meet is still not confirmed as Kayne himself didn't take any questions. He walked away from the media with a slight smile and made his way to the elevator.

The rapper was hospitalized last month due to exhaustion, which shocked fans in California. He abruptly ended a concert with a rant that he voted, he voted for Donald Trump.

West attended a Hillary Clinton's fundraiser with wife Kim Kardashian last year.

His surprising support for Donald Trump has left the hip-hop community in confusion as activists and artists are gearing up for a political battle against the incoming President amid threats that Trump administration could threaten the civil rights of the minority.
