After taking a three month hiatus from her music career due to health issues, Selena Gomez is all set to make a huge comeback by performing in front of her fans at the American Music Awards (AMAs).

AMAs' producer Larry Klein has recently told E! News that there is a possibility that Selena will make an appearance.

According to Hollywood Life, an insider has stated that Selena wants to return to music industry and to make it big; she wants her comeback via the American Music Awards.

It has been reported that the "Same Old Life" singer is feeling much better than before and really wants to perform. Her doctors in the rehab facility get to make the final decision for her comeback and it seems like they have said yes.

Further, reports state that the songstress is especially relieved to find out that Justin Bieber won't be able to make it to the AMAs.

According to a source, "Selena Gomez is relieved that Justin has tour dates on the night of the AMAs and so she is considering a massive return to the spotlight during the award show. With Justin unlikely to make an appearance at the show there is less stress surrounding the event for Selena."

The source added that Selena does love Justin and will always do so. But still, it will be easier for her in the AMAs knowing that her ex-boyfriend will not be present.

It looks like Selena Gomez is avoiding any kind of awkward confrontation with Justin Bieber, especially now when she is on her path to recovery from depression.

Justin Bieber is currently on his Purpose World Tour and is in the middle of his European leg. He is nominated for seven categories this year and if he wins any award, he will be accepting it via satellite.

Selena Gomez has been nominated at the AMAs, scheduled to take place on November 20, for three categories - Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Artists of the Year.
