Q-Tip has called on the assistance of longtime comrade Leonardo DiCaprio and Wolf of Wall Street co-star Jonah Hill to help him formulate the details of his upcoming television series, according to Fuse News.
The show, whose details haven't yet been publicized - Fuse reported on Friday that not even a writer for the program was mentioned - will be based on the 43-year-old famed rapper's time spent with fellow members of A Tribe Called Quest Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Phife Dawg.
According to Fuse, the scripted drama will zoom in on the MC's experiences with Native Tongues, the 1980s hip-hop collective A Tribe Called Quest created with De La Soul and Jungle Brothers.
No actors or actresses have been announced for the untitled show, either, but there's plenty room for some former Native Tongues members to play themselves, since the likes of Busta Rhymes and Queen Latifah comprised the rap collective that thrived until the mid-1990s.
Grammy-award winning artist Q-Tip - known for turning out both solid production and impressive flow on tracks like "Vibrant Thing" and "Breathe and Stop" - is represented by the Creative Artists Agency.
Leonardo DiCaprio's production company Appian Way is slated to start selling the show to networks next week, according to a report from Deadline.
