Sony launched a new pair of binoculars with digital technology that offers excellent picture quality even from long distance compared to its predecessors, reports engadget.

The latest Bionz processor will allow users to take high definition videos in different formats including MPEG-4 and 3D HD: AVCHD.
The second generation binoculars boasts a sporty look with a compact design than its predecessors at 5.9 x 2.9 x 6.25 inches and weighs about 1lb 10oz ,which is 30 percent lighter than Dev-5V.
The device also includes a microphone and audio input jack, which will allow users to add their own audio while recording. The DEV-50V features 0.8-25x zoom ratio (36.3-2,007mm 35mm equivalent), which will give a clear range of any subject at a great distance. The device can capture 20.4 megapixels still images and the SteadyShot image stabilization technology will eliminate the chances of capturing shaken images.

The in-built GPS receiver allows automatic tagging of photos and videos from the place where they were taken. This will help in creating a timeline for users of where the pictures were taken.
The photos can also be synced and viewed on television with the HDMI output. The pictures and videos can be recorded on various memory devices including Memory Stick PRO Duo; Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo; Memory Stick XC-HG Duo; SD/ SDHC/ SDXC Memory Card (Class 4 or Higher), Digital Camera Review notes.
