A 19-year-old California boy survived an intentional plunge off a southern California ocean cliff on Friday, the New York Daily News reported.
The unidentified driver reportedly told paramedics he meant to drive off the near the Bluff Cove area of Palos Verdes Estates. He is currently hospitalized and listed in critical condition.
First responders arrived at the scene around 2 a.m. Friday after someone called authorities. They showed up at the scene as the car was being pushed around by waves.

Los Angeles County firefighters, lifeguards, and police officers all aided in the rescue of the teen, who was found unconscious and flown to the hospital. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The site of the crash is in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, located about 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
In July, a similar incident occurred in San Diego where a motorist drove off a 40-foot cliff though he miraculously escaped without any serious injury.
Additionally, the unidentified man's car was also in relatively good shape for such a steep fall as well. He was eventually treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and released shortly after, though police were investigating whether the incident was alcohol-related.
