Kardashian Divorce Final: Marriage to Kris Humprhries Ends after 536 Days

The divorce of reality star Kim Kardashian and Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humphries is final, according to the Associated Press.

Kardashian was at the Friday hearing and reportedly said she understood and would comply with the settlement terms.

The eight-year NBA veteran did not attend the meeting. He was also pardoned by the judge for foregoing attendance at a previous hearing on April 19.

The divorce will officially end when the two parties sign the correct documents.

According to TMZ, a source close to the case said Humphries got the worst of the settlement. He received no money from Kardashian after previously requesting $7 million. Humphries also reneged on his request for an annulment for reasons having to do with fraud.

The judge also sent a message to Kardashian which read “Congratulations on your dissolution,” TMZ reported.

According to the AP, Humphries believed the marriage was nothing more than a publicity stunt to boost ratings for her reality television show. Kardashian refuted Humphries’ accusations.

Kardashian and superstar recording artist Kanye West have been dating and were not allowed to legally marry until the divorce was final.

Although details of the settlement have not been officially made public, the judge believed the agreement reached Friday has officially ended the extremely public marriage.

If a settlement agreement had not been reached, the two parties were scheduled to go to trial on May 6, according to Humphries' legal team.
