Next-generation consoles have been in high demand since their respective unveilings earlier in November. The PlayStation 4 from Sony was named the fastest selling game console of all time and the Xbox One from Microsoft was not far behind. With so many people hoping to get their loved one a new gaming console this holiday season, it's likely that a few got lost in the holiday shuffle and weren't able to get their hands on a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One before Christmas. Luckily for them, Amazon is temporarily giving them a second chance.
According to IGN, the PlayStation 4 consoles is back in stock just in time for the holidays. The consoles are not only available at the online retailer but one or two-day shipping is still available, meaning if you act fast it's possible to still have one under your tree in time for Christmas.
Meanwhile the Xbox One console from Microsoft is reportedly still available at Best Buy, unfortunately Christmas delivery is not guaranteed. Still, the promise of new console might still be enough to lift your loved one's spirits this holiday season and still give him or her a Merry Christmas.
For those who don't know, the choice between the two consoles is largely a matter of personal opinion or preference. Besides some exclusive game titles to each one, the biggest difference between the two is probably price. The PlayStation 4, which is available on Amazon, will cost about $399, while the Xbox One will cut into your wallet by another $100 priced at $499.
The extra money for the Xbox One is likely a result of the inclusion of the Kinect motion sensor camera that allows the user to control the device with a simple wave of his or her hands or through the use of voice commands.
