March may have marked "Resident Evil's" 20th anniversary, but the celebration is still going strong into April as Sony announces two new "Resident Evil" games that will join its ever-growing roster of titles on its PS Now service.

PS Now's newest games are the latest entries in the "Resident Evil" franchise: "Resident Evil Revelations" and "Resident Evil Revelations 2." Together they join six other "Resident Evil" games, bringing the total number of entries on the PS Now service up to eight.

Here is the full list of "Resident Evil" games included in the PlayStation Now Subscription, as noted on the PlayStation Blog:

"Resident Evil Revelations" (new)
"Resident Evil Revelations 2: The Complete Season" (new)
"Resident Evil 6"
"Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition"
"Resident Evil 4"
"Resident Evil: Code Veronica X"
"Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles"
"Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles"

The "Revelations" games don't extend the series timeline, rather they take place in between key points in the overall story and often feature characters from older titles, or ones connected to other characters or organizations from the main story. For example, "Resident Evil Revelations" takes place before the Kijuju (RE5) and Lanshiang (RE6) bioterror incidents when the BSAA was still in its infancy. The story mainly features series veteran Jill Valentine and newcomer Parker Luciani as they search a ghost ship on the Mediterranean Sea for Chris Redfield who has gone missing.

Similarly, "Revelations 2" occurs before RE6 and is split into four episodes which is further split into two parts. Half of the game has you play as Claire Redfield (RE2) alongside Moira Burton (Barry Burton's daughter) as they search for a way to escape an island they were left on after they were kidnapped during a company party. The other half has you play as Barry Burton alongside a mysterious little girl named Natalia as he searches for Redfield and his daughter after picking up a distress signal from the pair six months after the initial kidnapping.

It should be noted that PlayStation Now is a subscription-based service, similar to Netflix (meaning you'll need a functioning internet connection), which will cost you prices starting at $19.99 a month. With 300-plus games and more on the way, it's not a bad deal. If interested, click here to start a free 7-day trial.
