South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham stopped by "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" on Wednesday night where he talked about the current election and played a game of pool with the South African host.

Graham stuck around for two segments of "The Daily Show" and started with a sit-down interview with Noah. During the straightforward conversation, the politician talked about the political rise of Donald Trump, what his presidency would mean for the country and why he reluctantly endorsed Ted Cruz for the GOP nomination for president.

Noah started the interview by asking Graham about his endorsement of Cruz, before he played a clip of the senator badmouthing the presidential candidate. Cruz is famously one of the least liked members of Congress, and in the clip, Graham said, "If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the senate, no one would convict you."

After the clip, the host asked Graham why he flipped on his feelings about Cruz. The answer: Donald Trump.

"I don't dislike Ted," Graham told Noah. "Ted and I have a lot of differences, but he was my 15th choice, what can I say. One, he is not completely crazy - that works in Washington."

When asked what Graham liked the most about Cruz, the senator simply said that he "was not Trump."

"He's a Republican who will not get completely killed, and if Donald Trump cares to better my party, I think it taints conservatism for generations to come. I think his campaign is opportunistic, race baiting, religious bigotry, xenophobia, but other than that he'd be a good nominee. And we're about to lose to the most dishonest woman in America, Hillary Clinton."

"Are you a citizen?" Graham then asked the South African comedian. "If Trump wins, your days are numbered, pal. Young black liberal guy from Africa is not going to work with him," Graham said. "Donald is like being shot in the head. You might find an antidote to the poisoning - I don't know, but maybe there's time."

Later in the show, the twosome played a game of pool together, but there was a catch. Anytime either Noah or Graham did not sink a ball into one of the pockets, they each had to read a compliment about Trump.

"This is the most pressure I've ever had," Graham joked.

Noah was the first who had to read something nice about Trump and recited, "You know, Donald Trump's not so bad. Because having wispier hair is highly valued in many dog breeds."
