A N.J lesbian waitress who became famous online after posting in Facebook that she didn’t receive a tip but an anti-gay note instead was found to be an absolute liar. The gay rights support group which collected donations for her was informed that someone has been refunding the money to its donors.
Dayna Morales, 22, and a waitress at Gallop Asian Bistro, N.J., has received more than $3,000 in donations after a gay advocacy website, Have a Gay Day, campaigned to collect tips for her.
It all began in this Facebook post along with a photo of the receipt: "I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free. Sorry lady but I don't agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you're raising your kids but you didn't see me throwing that in your face and giving you sh--y service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again."
Have a Gay Day founder Michael Knote felt so bad for Morales that he called for donations to the “poor” member of the LGBT. Morales claimed that she was left a note saying: "Sorry, I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and the way you live your life."
Knote said in ABC News that he felt so betrayed by Morales who is now missing and out of reach. She has canceled her Facebook account. He found out about the “lies” after three donors told him that they have received refunds for their donations in Paypal.
Upon investigating, they found that an anonymous family approached her employer and said that Morales was lying. They left her an $18 tip with no anti-gay note.
Lies start pouring in about Morales. They found that she didn’t donate even a single cent to the Wounded Warrior Project, which she promised to share some of the donations; that she has brain cancer when she doesn’t; and she was a brave Marine in duty wherein she was actually terminated due to absenteeism.
