Arsenal (10-1-2) sits atop the Premier League standings with 31 points. After a 1-0 loss to Manchester United on Nov. 10, Arsenal bounced back with three straight wins. With a four-point cushion above second-place Chelsea and a stretch of four games in 11 games, boss Arsene Wenger plans to give at least one or two players the night off.
"When you play so many games of that intensity, we expect to lose one or two players," Wenger said, via IB Times. "I rotate considering the level of fatigue. In every single game I will rotate. I try to limit the number because I do not want to disrupt the balance of the team, so I do that in every single game."
Hull City, meanwhile, is ranked 10thh in the league with a 5-2-6 record and 17 points. The club fell to Crystal Palace on Nov. 23 but rebounded with a 3-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday.
Hull City manager Steve Bruce credits his club's ability to play competitively in every game as the reason for their ascent into the Premier League's top 10.
"We knew from the start of the season we'd be underdogs. We were favourites in many peoples' eyes to go down. The one thing we've done is be consistent and played to a level that's given us a chance. That means we've got to play well week in and week out, which is always difficult because you can't afford many off days," Bruce said. "We certainly can't have one at Arsenal."
