While soccer star David Beckham's life today may seem glamorous, he had some rough starts to his career, including a bizarre hazing ritual he became a victim of as a young player on Manchester United's youth team.

In the wake of the release of the new documentary film "The Class of 92," the athlete opened up about being hazed by his male teammates in 1991 when he was only 16-years-old. Beckham was forced to stare at a photo of Clayton Blackmore, a famous Welsh soccer player, while masturbating in front of the team.

"Everyone had an initiation that you had to go through on the youth team, that was one of the most uncomfortable ones," he revealed to UK Metro. "I was embarrassed when I was saying it on camera let alone talking about it more. But it's something that we all had to go through. It was definitely something I wouldn't like to go through again!"

"Class of 92" comes out today (Nov. 29) in the UK, detailing the rise to fame of six Manchester United soccer players, including Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil and Gary Neville, between the years of 1992-1999, and how the prominence of the players affected and were affected by the massive social and cultural changes taking place in Britain at the time.

Robbie Savage, another Manchester United player, recently tweeted that Beckham "wasn't (the) only one" who had to perform the hazing ritual.
