Some love stories don't work out, such as that of Romeo and Juliet, Tony and Maria (of "West Side Story"), Jack and Rose (of "The Titanic"), Ryan and Marissa (of "The O.C.") and Allie and Noah (of "The Notebook"). The star-crossed lovers we're telling you about today are Pep the house bunny and a wild rabbit from the wrong side of the screen door.

Pep's owner was just hanging out in the kitchen, working on some renovations, when he noticed something strange going on. Pep was plodding around the kitchen and approached the screen door, and a wild rabbit showed up, reported the Daily Mail. The rabbit approached Pep, and the pair began to nuzzle through the screen door.

Pep started to get a little shy, so the wild rabbit started pacing and propped himself up on the door, trying to push through. His enthusiasm might have originated from the fact that the video was taken in rabbit mating season, according to The Dodo. Pep's owner decided to keep the rabbit out and leave the screen door closed, impeding their love. Luckily, he got it all on video.

Someone really needs to add some dramatic music to this hilarious, six-minute-long epic tale documented by Pep's owner and YouTube user Bill16504. Pep spends most of her time in front of that door, the video's description explained, so it's very possible that her admirer had seen her from afar before. So romantic, so tragic.
