Finding a bra that fits perfectly can be frustrating for a lot of women, and there's a reason for this. Some don't exactly have any idea about the right measurements of their chest area, which makes finding the bra that not only fits, but supports and lifts the breast perfectly, is difficult.

A previous research has suggested that a third of women don't know how to take the right measurements of their chest with a tape measure, thus, they end up wearing the wrong bra fit, according to the Daily Mail. An underwear company has created an app to solve this dilemma, and it claims to measure a woman's exact bra size just by aiming the app at her chest.

The app, called ThirdLove, can be downloaded for any iOS device for free. In taking the proper measurements, the woman has to take a photo of herself in her bra or tank top, and then the app will talk her through taking the photos at the right angles. It will take the app around five minutes to calculate for the size. The developers said that the measurements are so accurate that it can even recommend half-cup sizes.

Photos that were taken on the app are not stored by the software, though, as assured by ThirdLove founder Heidi Zak. "All of our sizing takes place on your phone. We never view, upload or share your photos," she said, according to The Guardian.

"In essence, when you think of a women in the store getting out the measuring tape, we are doing that using a phone as a standard unit of measure," Zak added.

The app also matches its users with bras and underwear that are sold on ThirdLove's site. An Android app is supposedly in the works, according to the site's FAQ page.
