If you’re looking to buy the new Samsung 4K TV, it is going to cost you a little more than $4,000 dollars, according to CNET.com.
The brand new TV from Samsung will cost you a whopping $40,000.
During an event in New York on Tuesday, Samsung unveiled its 2013 lineup, which included the Galaxy S4 and few new apps.
The new apps which include Fox, Spotify, and Univision, will be added to a whole host of apps already on Samsung smart TVs.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the South Korean electronics giant employed the help of some stars to show off its new line. Model Kate Upton, 2012 Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning, and rapper Flo-Rida helped demonstrate some of the products.
Joe Stinzaiano, Samsung Electronics America’s executive vice president, assured everyone in attendance that Samsung is doing everything it can.
"We're working harder than ever to push technology to the edge, and more importantly to give people what they want. And what they really want is simplicity," he said to the New York crowd, according to the Times.
Consumers can pre-order The 4K TV, also known as the S9, at Samsung.com near the end of March. The actual retail price will be $39,999.
The 85-inch TV stands on the floor and is held on something that resembles an art easel. The TV’s smart hub now includes more videos, movies, and music. Running the new TV will be a quad core processor that will help in running both the Smart TV’s interface and tasks such as processing pictures.
In addition to the S9, Samsung also emphasized the Evolution Kit, which will be priced at $299.99 in May. The device is essence to make Smart TV’s smarter. Those who own a Smart TV can use it to install the latest updates. Certain Samsung Smart TV’s, such as the Samsung 7500 and the 8000, have slots in which the Evolution Kit can go.
