Replacing Horde Mode In ‘Gears Of Wars: Judgment’ A Downfall?

Replacing Horde Mode in the latest "Gears of War- Judgment" may not have impressed many gamers after all, at least that's what some players expressed through social networking media.

People Can Fly and Epic's latest release of the series' prequel, "Gears of War: Judgment" will be launched this week, but it will not have the most favorite "Horde" mode. The Horde mode will be replaced by Survival mode better known as OverRun Mode, which is likely combined with a mixture of Horde and Beast mode.

The game offers a new experience of swift and frenzied action with new objectives, which users can choose in every mission to experience a tougher competition. In each level, three stars can be achieved with different variety of executions, head shots or other form of kills.

Gamers are likely to miss their Horde mode, where a group of five players can fight against 50 waves of Locust and Lambent rivals. But the multiplayer mode is something gamers can watch out for. An introduction of a new option to customize the characters with different skins and the weapons most suitable to them can be done for any multi-player but the engineer character will be equipped with a blowtorch.

Not convinced with the replacement of the Horde mode, many gamers took to the web to voice their disappointment. Few are listed below:

For some reason the regular multiplayer is a lot harder! You cant plant grenades! Oh, and how the frick do you down someone so you can do an execution??!! I played this for 2 hours and just gave up. I wasted my money bigtime since I let gamestop talk me into the season pass too!!! THEY TOOK A HUGE STEP BACKWARDS WITH THIS GAME!!!!"

"I agree. Horde was a big deal in Gearsland. To completely omit it seems like a awful mishap....but as I'm playing more,.. Starting to think this entire edition was a bad idea. Shoulda retired the game after Cliffy B left," Pryorbeast wrote on GameFAQS.

"Honestly I hope they just bring Horde back. This survival is not cutting it," another gamer, GodlessChaos, wrote.

A Twitter user wrote"@DeltaDefSquadYo @EpicGames Agreed. What the hell were they thinking when they took out Horde mode? Survival looks ok but its no Horde."

Last thing: It's sort of crazy that they took out Horde mode! It was the coolest thing Gears 3 had going for it!" @jeffgerstmann wrote on Twitter.
