Robert Pattinson recently revealed one quality he finds important in determining who he's attracted to, which he deems "really strange," E! News reports, though many can likely relate.

"I like the smell of people. It is really strange and I'm sure it has to do with pheromones," Pattinson said during a recent interview with Portuguese magazine Activa. "We like people because subconsciously we like the way they smell. I always find this very interesting to observe."

The "Twilight" actor seems to prefer the natural scent of women he's interested in, adding that the smell doesn't "necessarily have to be perfume."

At the moment, Pattinson is reportedly dating Sean Penn's 22-year-old daughter, Dylan Penn, though an US Weekly insider reports that following his tumultuous and highly publicized split from Kristen Stewart, he's "not ready to be exclusive with anyone right now" and is "just enjoying himself."

Of course, smell isn't the only thing that attracts Pattinson to a woman, as he also loves a good sense of humor and strong sense of self, as he recently told Harper Bazaar Arabia.

"Someone knowing who they are, it's the best," Pattinson told the magazine. "I guess because it's the opposite of what I am-I am so all over the place. "If someone looks good in their clothes, it's because they are comfortable in their own skin. It's literally just like owning it."

But being the down-to-earth guy he is, he quickly added, "Oh no! That is so lame, I feel like I am on 'Project Runway' saying 'own that.'"
