As “The Originals” continues many fans are looking for potential relationships that could take place. Marcel/Cami, Rebekah/Marcel, and Hayley/Elijah are just some of the possible pairs. If you’re wondering why Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) name isn’t among the ones I just mentioned, it’s because our favorite original hybrid isn’t going to be with anyone in the near future.
At least that’s what Morgan recently said in an interview with EOnline.
"I mean he has a connection in different ways with different characters, but there's been no kissing, I suppose, or no kind of moment where you go, 'Yeah, that's going happen,'" he told the website.
This isn’t surprising since executive producer Michael Narducci recently shot down a possible romantic relationship with Klaus’ most likely love interest candidate—Cami (Leah Pipes).
“I think it’s far more interesting to play just a human connection, ’cause he doesn’t really have a lot of friends,” he said in a recent interview with TV Line. “Klaus is someone who either kills you or manipulates you. Cami is someone who is educated enough that he might take a pause and just be curious to get to know her. Her history with New Orleans and her education are going to make her someone very interesting for Klaus to interact with.”
So will Klaus ever find love? Hopefully. However, I guess for now he’ll stay focused on taking down his former student. And apparently, it isn’t going to be easy.
“The Originals” airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.
