We’re up to Episode 4 of NBC’s “The Blacklist” and its possible this episode will feature the most disturbing criminal yet.
According to the preview which you can view here, Red and the FBI (and there is a reason I say “Red” and the FBI—let’s face it he’s running the show, no pun intended) are going up against a man named the “Stewmaker.”
This particular “Blacklister", as Red (James Spader) calls him, literally turns his victims into stew. I’m guessing that while this is ridiculously disgusting, it’s also extremely effective since it leaves no evidence behind. Apparently, someone in the FBI makes a mistake because pretty soon Elizabeth (Megan Boone) is taken captive by the Stewmaker. This forces Red to request permission to deal with things himself.
“Let me clean up your mess,” he asks, “or you’ll never see her again.” Something tells me that even if the FBI says no, he’ll go after “Lizzie” anyway. Red apparently cares very much about Elizabeth and he’s also much smarter than the FBI. He doesn’t really need their permission. Also, Red seems to have a connection to every criminal. What’s his connection to the Stewmaker?
Each week NBC’s new hit show continues to leave us, and Elizabeth, with more questions. Last week, she asked Red for answers, again. However, he told her the answer was complicated which doesn’t really help her or us viewers. When will Red, or anyone, give us some answers. Also, who was the mysterious apple-eating man who had Liz’s house bugged?
“The Blacklist” airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.
