Halle Berry is doing all right. The 49-year-old Oscar-winning actress said at an event benefiting the Jenesse Center, an organization dedicated to domestic violence prevention and intervention Wednesday that she's doing just fine following her recent split with third husband Olivier Martinez, according to Extra.

"I'm doing okay, I really am," Berry said. "I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with."

Her comments come just nearly two weeks after Berry and Martinez announced they were ending their two-year marriage. Berry cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce documents, TMZ reported at the time. The exes have one child together, one-year-old Maceo.

"It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce," the couple told Us Weekly in a statement. "We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly our children's privacy, as we go through this difficult period."

Speaking about her kids, Berry was asked if her seven-year-old daughter, Nahla, knew how strong her mother was following her recent life changing event, including the change in her marital status.

"Maceo didn't go trick-or-treating 'cause he has the chicken pox, Nahla was a zombie cheerleader, and we had a great time," she shared, adding, "I was a pirate and she (Nahla), she's like, 'You're a sexy pirate, Mommy.' I'm like, 'What do you known about a sexy pirate?' "

After announcing her divorce, Berry was bashed by her former husband David Justice, who went on a Twitter rant claiming that Berry tried to destroy his reputation after their divorce.
