It was around this time last year when Giada De Laurentiis and her then-husband, Todd Thompson, decided to end their marriage after 11 years. After finalizing the divorce in September, the celebrity chef is finally opening up about the split. She has even revealed that there's a new man in her life, and despite the rumors going around, it's not Bobby Flay.

While on "The Wendy Williams" show on Wednesday for a cooking segment and promote her new cookbook, "Happy Cooking: Make Every Meal Count...Without Stressing Out," the host was quick to ask De Laurentiis all about the divorce, according to E! News.

"I've always loved cooking, and I always say that I sort of gained my confidence as a young girl in the kitchen, that's where I felt the most creative and empowered. What happened over the years working, you get caught up in your world, and all of a sudden my world came sort of crashing and I got divorced," she said. "I have a child, so I became a single mother...I took a year of just sort of reflection. Cooking really helped me get through it. It made me happy."

With Flay also divorcing from his wife this past year, and so many romance rumors going around since the two spend so much time together on Food Network, Williams just had to ask. De Laurentiis, who has denied the Flay dating rumors in the past, joked and said that she's been linked "to anybody I laid eyes on even crossing the street." Naturally, the question that came next was if she was romantically linked to anyone for real.

"You know what I love? I love how she just dropped that in the middle of it. That's what makes you good at what you do, Wendy! Caught me off-guard," De Laurentiis said. "I'm going to say kind of, and I will tell you, this is the first time I've actually said that!" The identity of her new romance remains a mystery, but she does seem very happy!
