The St. Louis Blues injury woes continued on Friday, as winger Jaden Schwartz was unable to put any weight on his left leg and required aid to leave the ice after slipping and colliding with the goal post during the Blues' first practice in three days, according to a report from Jeremy P. Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Blues have already lost Paul Stastny to a broken foot, Kevin Shattenkirk to a groin injury, Robby Fabbri to a concussion and Patrik Berglund for approximately four months to preseason shoulder surgery.

Per Rutherford, after Schwartz went down, Blues players "quickly waved for help" and St. Louis trainer Ray Barile tended to Schwartz on the ice for a brief period before he and assistant coach Kirk Muller carried Schwartz off. An update from Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock is not expected unless and until he addresses the media.

If Schwartz misses any amount of time, it will be a significant blow for an already hampered Blues team. Playing as part of the second unit, Schwartz already has four assists in seven games to start the 2015-16 NHL season.
