Gov. Chris Christie is losing support in his own state, according to CNN. A new poll shows that Christie has lost a lot of votes in New Jersey, where he has been serving as governor since 2010.

A poll from Rutgers-Eagleton shows that Christie has dropped from 12 percent in August polls to just 5 percent on Thursday. Perhaps he lost votes to fellow candidate Donald Trump, who is up in the polls to 32 percent from 21 percent in August. The poll questioned 935 registered Republicans in New Jersey from Oct. 3 to Oct. 10. It has a margin of error of almost 4 percent.

Ben Carson was second place in the New Jersey poll, earning 13 percent of the vote, according to The Wall Street Journal, tied for second place with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). The poll shows that 54 percent of New Jersey voters actually think Christie should end his campaign. Only 41 percent think he should continue.

Out of both Republican and Democratic voters, the poll shows that 67 percent believe he should end his campaign, according to The New York Daily News. Among Democrats, 80 percent think he should drop out of the race. Independent voters were also asked if he should quit the campaign, and 63 percent said "yes."
