The League of Legends World Championship 2015 kicks off its knockout stages, starting with the quarterfinals on Oct. 15 at 12 p.m, at the SSA Arena Webley in London, England.

The eight teams that emerged victorious from the group stages are now going to face their opponents in a best-of-five series untilt Oct. 18. Teams include Korea's SKT T1, Koo Tigers and KT Rolsters; Europe's LCS are Fnatic and Origen; Taiwan's AHQ and Flashwolves, and China's sole representative, EDG.

All eight teams that made it to the quarterfinals will have cash prizes. The champion team will win $1,000,000, while the second placer gets $250,000 and the third and fourth placers get $150,000. The teams who fail to proceed to the semifinals will get $75,000.

That is a total of prize pool of over $2,000,000. The champion will also get a trophy in the form of the Summoner's cup, according to LoL Esports.
