Clemson visits N.C. State on Thursday in their ACC opener. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream HERE.
No. 3 Clemson has two wins to start the season. Clemson opened the season with a 38-35 win over Georgia, and then handed South Carolina a 52-13 loss.
Clemson now travels to N.C. State, where Tigers quarterback Tajh Boyd set a conference record last season with eight total touchdowns, ESPN reports. It was the kind of game N.C. State coach Dave Doeren doesn't want to happen again.
"First thing you've got to do is not give up big plays," Doeren said, via ESPN. "You have to contend routes and tackle well in space. We've got to shed blocks and get more people to the ball. But they are going to make plays. ... To win the football game, they can't be explosive plays that lead to points."
The Wolfpack is also 2-0 to start the season after a 40-14 win over Louisiana Tech and a 23-21 victory against Richmond. Despite a 62-48 win over N.C. State last season, Tigers coach Dabo Swinney isn't taking the match lightly - especially having to play in Raleigh.
"It's a very difficult place to play," Swinney said. "Our last experience (Nov. 19, 2011) up there was not good. We played one of our worst games of the year that year, and we won the league. It was a very disappointing night."
Turnovers plagued the Tigers that night, something which they'll hope to avoid on Thursday.
ESPN will cover the game, which starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Clemson is 13.5-point favorite, according to ESPN. The over/under is 66.0 points.
